State Troopers found the man's body on I-93 South near Exit 21 around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, Massachusetts State Police spokesperson Dave Procopio said.

Initial investigation indicated that the man jumped from the overpass onto the highway before getting hit by several cars, Procopio added.

The investigation prompted police to close part of the highway, causing delays during the morning commute.

The person's identity was not released and the investigation is ongoing.
